The legend grows Unequaled and uncompromised, the XP Classic remains the benchmark of speed, performance and refinement. Yet even while the XP stands as a classic icon, it never stands still. The XP Classic is vacuum bagged in fiberglass, featuring a comfortable back support, innovative, easily adjustable foot braces as well as an optional innovative rudder and rudder control system. For speed while touring, the XP Classic will exceed all your expectations. While the XP Classic is of a long and narrow design, it is also surprisingly stable and maneuverable, which makes it a wonderful kayak to play with in rough waters and surf. With its carrying capacity the XP Classic is designed to handle extended tours, day trips and expeditions. The XP Classic’s low, sleek line, with its shallow V-shaped hull and flared sides makes for excellent control characteristics in rough weather and minimizes yaw even when neither rudder nor skeg is deployed. The well defined chines allow for easy turning and a strong secondary stability. The XP Classic comes standard-equipped with a day hatch, easily accessible from the cockpit and two main hatches; fore and aft. The XP is available either with skeg or with both skeg and a liftable foil shaped rudder from KayLab. The ingenious rudder control system allows for comfortable support as well as strong steering efficiency. In keeping with the XP Classic’s designed role as a model for extensive trips, the cockpit comes fitted with an ergonomically designed seat which provides excellent leg support as well as providing the close contact needed when rough-water playing, and a highly functional back rest that offers great comfort. |
